Colorado Mayors Say Howdy to 2025 -
Partnering with the CML Mayors Summit, Mayors From Around the Beautiful State of Colorado Came Together to Attend the Rodeo and National Western Stock Show in January

Colorado Mayors watch on during a special, surprise performance at dinner in the National Western Center Paddocks. January, 2025.

Thank you to all the mayors who were able to join us at the Rodeo and Stock Show last month. From a lovely dinner hosted by Denver Mayor Johnston to a rousing rodeo at the National Western Center, a wonderful night was shared by all! A special thank you to SurePass for being our Presenting Sponsor for the night. We hope to see you all again next year!

MLA January Session - ULI UrbanPlan

The Mayors Leadership Academy started 2025 off right with a special edition of Urban Land Institute (ULI) Colorado's UrbanPlan exercise at the CSU Spur campus in north Denver. The mayors worked together in groups to plan out hypothetical cities and present their work to "city council" which was made up of expert volunteers. Thank you to our partners at ULI for putting together a wonderful and educational day for our participants!

MLA February Session - Local Government in Canon City and Florence

The Mayors Leadership Academy lucked out with lovely weather earlier this month as we made a trip down to the Emergent Campus in Florence, CO, a small business incubator, for our Local Government in Colorado day. The jam-packed agenda featured speakers such as Sam Light and Tami Tanoue from CIRSA, a representative from the Special Districts Association as well as a few panel discussions about navigating challenging situations as mayor. Thank you to Emergent Campus for hosting us as well as all of our wonderful speakers for making time to join us!

The Mayors Leadership Academy had a great time exploring Fremont County, a small group even rode the Royal Gorge train! February, 2025.
